Email

Use an email you will not lose access to. If you ever forget your password, recovering a device means registering a new account with this exact email — it is the permanent identity your devices are locked to and the only way to re-link them. Losing access to this email means your devices cannot be recovered to you.

Password (min 10 chars)

Why a word phrase? A short "P@ssw0rd1!"-style password only swaps a few characters for look-alike symbols — attackers already check those first. A handful of random, unrelated words has far more possible combinations per slot, no symbols required, and — unlike a string of substitutions — you can actually remember it.

This password is your encryption key All private data captured from your device (photos, audio, screen captures, location, etc.) is encrypted before it reaches the server using a key derived from this password. The server never stores your password or encryption key.

⚠️ If you forget this password, all encrypted data is permanently and irrecoverably lost. There is no "Forgot Password" reset. Write it down and store it somewhere safe.

⚠️ Without 2FA, a leaked password is enough to sign in to your dashboard. You can add a passkey next, or set up 2FA later — this only affects login, not your encrypted data.

Sign in with your fingerprint, face, or a security key — no password or 2FA code to type. Your encryption key is bound to the passkey, so your data stays end-to-end encrypted.

⚠️ A passkey is a convenient way in, but it does not replace your password — if you lose every passkey you'll still need the password, and losing the password means your encrypted data is unrecoverable.
